Humanity and Gender Programme - a two year programme in Kenya launched at an International Conference held at the United Nations Headquarters, Nairobi, Kenya in January 2006. Feminenza's Humanity and Gender study programmes comprise: education, curriculum development and mentoring programmes for universities, schools and commercial colleges. These increase their ability to incorporate humanity and gender studies for women and men of all ages.

Follow this link for information on how you can assist our Fundraising project and directly help raise funds for our Humanity and Gender project.

Link to websiteFinancial assistance to enable the rescue of girls from FGM (female genital mutilation) and those being forced into early marriage, to pay for their education, to cover the cost of their rehabilitation (and sometimes the cost of cattle to rescue girls who would otherwise have been sold into marriage). It also goes towards Feminenza’s expenses in providing special assistance in the form of mentoring and development. The centres we currently support are Tasaru Girls' Rescue Centre, Narok, the Kisi Rescue Centre in Western Kenya, and the Womankind project in Garissa. The girls (upon completion of their education) contribute to the fund, to make it self-sustaining. A new website is currently under development to promote this project. View our Go Card (.pdf) and help us make a difference.

Local Feminenza centres. We will shortly be bringing you further information about how you can help us in this project. In order to further expand, develop and deliver our programmes and projects, Feminenza is seeking seed funding to establish sustainable local centres in those countries where we provide grass root support.

Provide a Voice project - this is being developed with the aim of helping small communities, and NGOs such as UNILAC, Tasaru Girls Rescue Centre etc, to present the essence of their work and heritage on the World Wide Web. The aim of this is to offer the public information and education and to secure help. A new website is currently under development to promote this project and a link will be provided here once it is live.
